I’ve never been shy about declaring myself a high-powered professional sales person. The word “sale” comes from the old English root “sellen” which means to give, supply, surrender, deliver, promise. Being of service to help others achieve business outcomes, meet commitments or even realize a vision is still my primary purpose. It’s honorable work and I’m grateful to do it.

Today, the traditional prospect, qualify, close pattern has gone the way of VHS. The buyer’s journey is a zig-zag of steps, many of which occur in the digital space. To continue to deliver on my promise of being a partner in innovation I now get to show up in new ways, serving a different purpose. Part of the fun is engaging on that varied path with my customers, supplying expertise, product and connections.
